@windyjudi Hello, to cancel the subscription, you have to go to a platform you are originally subscribed to, we don’t have any control over these platforms:

Google Play – https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en -

Hello Customer support. I am fairly new to Windy and have just paid for premium. I am helping to provide weather information to a crew taking part in the Atlantic rowing race (currently on day 3) The race is supported by Yellow Brick tracking who provide location information in the following format 26° 40.23 N, 017° 21.81 which I believe is Degrees Minutes decimal minutes. I have tried copying and pasting this into Windy but it does not like it. I have looked for online converters but I can only find conversions from Degrees, minutes seconds into degrees decimal degrees.
Could you please tell me how I should format the Lat Long from Yellow Brick so Windy will recognise it, thank you
-
@dinger11
Hi, you can enter coordinates in these 3 formats only:
https://community.windy.com/topic/7290/inserting-coordinates/2?_=1671122299189
You don’t say if longitude is W or E. I guess it is West (otherwise in the East you would be in the Libyan desert, not a nice place for a rowing race :)).
In this case if it is W, you could easily write it in DMM format, which gives 28 40.23, -17 21.81
Indeed with decimal minutes, cardinal symbols and degree symbol are not used but replaced by Cartesian coordinates.
Which corresponds to this position:Is it right?
-
Yes! I've sussed it, thank you
-
@idefix37 Hi, Actually I haven't sorted it :(
To answer your previous question it is West yes, my typo, the location should be South and West of La Gomera.
I get location updates from Yellow Brick tracking as follows
25° 22.63 N, 017° 54.41 W. As per your last message I clean that up and enter it into Windy as follows
25 22.63,-17 54.41
This does give me a weather picker but its location is wrong. The lat and lon shown on the Picker is N25° 22'37'' W16° 5'34''
I'm a bit baffled? Especially as any lat lon format starts with degrees, I have no idea why it changes the lon to 16° from 17°
Any advise would be appreciated -
Hi there. I'm trying to put my email address I have with yous for my windy premium. I got a new phone.
But saying the email address is already taken, witch is on my old phone. -
@dinger11
That’s really strange.
Entering your coordinates in DMS format (approximately without the seconds), it works quite correctly, within a minute of longitude and latitude.And the position matches with the latitude and longitude grid.
But when entering these coordinates in DMM format, there is more than a difference of 1° in longitude positioning.
Seems there is something wrong in DMM format conversion ?
Could a developer take a look at that ? -
As said before, there is a bug in DMM coordinates conversion.
The conversion code in decimal for Longitude should be that
17° 45’ is 17° + 45’
but in fact the code gives that
17° 45’ is 17° - 45’ = 16° 15’
Degrees are decimal@TZ
Any thought about this bug? -

Got a new Smartphone. I can't restore premium with my username/password
-
@johbehrens
The Premium badge near your user name shows that you are already Premium.
So you just need to log in with the same account, email and password, on your new device. -
Hello I have mistakenly gotten another subscription for Windy
I already had a Premium account associated with this email. rob@technicaldiving.co.nz
I would like a refund but can’t see any way to get this arranged. I have cancelled the subscription now but not sure if repayment is automatic.
Your advice to contact FastSpring isn't valid as they say to contact you
