This new satellite view is an infrared view with a special treatment, map is visible during the night, which would not be the case if it was a visible view

Now, the issue is the temperature scale : the one you put is the one referring to the INFRA+ but here this scale is not the same and therefore incorrect

You can easily realize it when you see the color of the ocean versus the scale of the map

A new scale should be added or at least you should remove the one which is displayed now.

It seems that the higher the cloud is the darker grey it becomes. Again, some explanation and communication on this new feature would be appreciate !

Hi @Yves70, it's a bit confusing now, but we can't use another scale for "BLUE" and "VISIBLE" because the colors don't match the temperatures there. We will internally discuss if we will keep the scale there or not next week.

Regarding the explanation of the new satellite view – we will be releasing an article in the following days.

The solution could be, if feasible, to show the temperature color scale only when INFRA+ is selected.

You can find 'Smooth satellite animation' in Menu > Settings.
