    Nangka is positioned at 20.2N 106.1E with maximum winds of 83 km/h (45 KT).

    The system has made landfall near south of Haiphong and will continue moving inland, where it will dissipate over the northwest Vietnam and northern Laos in the next 36 hours.

    Nangka is currently moving near 20.0N 106.8E with maximum winds of 101 km/h (55 KT). After crossing the Hainan Island, Nangka entered the Gulf of Tonkin.

    Storm is expected to weaken in the next several hours and then make landfall as tropical depression in Thai Binh and Nghe An at 3-5 p.m. local time.

    Provinces Hoa Binh, Son La, Phu Tho, and Yen Bai in the northern region and Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh will get heavy rainfall up to 400 mm from Wednesday through Friday.

    Tropical storm Nangka is located at 8.7N 111.5E, approximately 530km southwest of Hong Kong. Maximum winds are 101 km/h (55 KT) with higher gusts.

    Storm is about to make landfall at Hainan Island late Tuesday. As it will move further away from Hong Kong, local winds are expected to weaken gradually.

    Late Wednesday Nangka is forecast to make landfall in Vietnam and worsen the current situation with floods, which have been battering Vietnam since early October.

    Storm can bring up to 400 millimeters (16 inches) of heavy rain in parts of northern and central Vietnam from Wednesday till Friday.
