      Hi, when I go to overview, the area of interest is blueish colour, meaning 3. /s
      Same area with zoom and the particles have colour of purple, meaning 20 m/s.

      What does that mean? Are particles not colour sensitive?

      Peter!

        @peter555

        The particles are in white colour on the weather layers showing different colour scheme, as in your example with Wind layer.

        When you zoom in to very detailed zoom levels, the particles turn to purple just to get a good contrast with the detailed map which shows light colours or even white.
        The white or the purple colours of the animated particles have NOTHING TO DO with the colour scale of the wind speed. Or it would mean wind of the same speed all over the world !
