Email notifying of notifications verification

For the last, well over a year, I have not gotten weather notices from my Windy.com account. Several weeks ago, I tried changing email addresses without affecting it. Today I received an email from Windy.com saying I would need to verify the address change due to changes in policy. Sounds sketchy, but the addresses are legit. So I did, and no verification email comes to my changed address, nor my old one.

Notifications preference
Confirm your email address
a confirmation email will be sent to the email address
confirm

it's that easier.
But I agree, looks sketchy...
