Temperature different in satellite and temperature views
-
After selecting a point on the map, currently the temperature 1°C is shown in the satellite view.
Switching to temperature view, the correct temperature is shown: 12°C.Or is the temperature in the satellite view the temperature at some other altitude?
(Probably not at the satellite… ;) )
In that case, this should be specified.Thanks for a super site anyway.

@metayan
The Temperature layer shows the forecast temperature at 2m height.
The temperature shown on the Satellite layer is the temperature of cloud tops. So it gives an idea of the altitude of clouds tops.
This is more obvious if you select INFRA+ which is the brightness temperature measured by the satellite and colorised. High clouds tops gives thunderstorm and similar strong convective weather.
