I'm not sure this is working as expected. For example, if the phone is in airplane mode, and you come back online - the widget keeps 3 day old data? Should it not check it has latest data - or will it wait for the next weather model refresh window (every 6 hours for ECMWF).
I'll test it a bit more to check it updates every 6 hours when online - but I think that hasn't been the case. Will report back.Thanks

@mcgon Hello, the widget should then be updated based on the current update. Let me know if you experience any incorrect behaviour.

I can confirm that the widget does not auto-update on my pixel 5 or pixel 2 both using stock Android 11.
The screenshot shows that I did not manually update the widget on my pixel 5 since Tuesday evening. The phone was online and it's now 2pm on Wednesday so at least 3 ecmwf updates have occurred.
Let me know if I can help test or clarify anything. I'm in the beta program too so will test any updates as they come.

That's right. I didn't manually update the widget. I presume the ecmwf data had been updated as 24 hours had passed. Widget didn't auto-refresh though.

Widget is being auto-refreshed on my Pixel 5 now. :) Not sure what changed but works good now.
