Push Notifications
-
I am not ever been able to receive emails or push notifications for anything. I have perimeters set so they should update and a verified email. Is anyone else having this issue and could help? thank you!

@FALCON-HEAVY
Push notifications are concerning Alerts. Have you set an alert for a location for Wind, Rain, Temperature... ? If not, you have no reason to receive notifications. -
I make alerts for two locations regarding Rain , temperature and wind ;however , I do not receive any notification neither on email nor application
-
Have you saved these alerts? They should clearly appear in your favorites list and on the map when you select them in the bottom right corner. Have the weather conditions already reached the alert levels you set?
-
@idefix37 thanks for your reply. Yes it reached the level of weather I set and I receive no alert. Only once a time,I receive an alert on the second
half of October -
Also regarding push notifications from the Windy app, the app needs to be allowed to run in the background to be able to push the notifications.
Unfortunately many Android phone manufacturers have a very aggressive policy of killing apps in the background to improve the phone's battery life. It's a major problem for many different app developers.

Yes, I allow the app to always run in the backeground. I have alerts set for wind, rain and snow because I want to receive alets for all of these. I have tried email alerts and I have tried push notifications. I even checked spam in email to see if I missed them. I have never received any alerts in email or push

@FALCON-HEAVY @imamjunior92 Hello, in order to receive alerts, all conditions in alert have to be met. So I would advise you to make separate alerts for each condition.
-
I have set a separate condition for snow, rain and wind for one location and set the perameters for alert to trigger, and still no notification. I am missing something and I am confused an what that is đŸ˜•
-
@Korina I am unable on iOS to make separate alerts for a location. Each alert I make, even with a different name, overwrites the previous alert. So I can only have one alert for a location.

This example have been done with iOS. -
@dmlh Hello, you cannot create multiple alerts if you directly click on the name of the city, but you can always create multiple alerts in the same area, which is the same -
-
@FALCON-HEAVY Hi, please share a screenshot with the alert conditions.
-
@Korina cool, thanks. Not quite as neat as just using the same location, but it works so that’s fine.
