I noticed today that several air pollution parameters have different particle movement directions. SO2 and O3 are heading in the opposite direction to NO2 and aerosols and PM2.5. The latter are moving in the general wind direction but former not. Why is that?

This is probably due to the fact that these pollutants are not considered near the surface, but in altitude. But I don’t know exactly which altitude.
