Track Vendée Globe progress on Windy.com

Our user Kevin Saliou created WIndy Plugin, that tracks unofficial positions of Vendée Globe. So far plugin works on desktop only, but we hope this will not be issue.
To open the plugin go to Menu -> Install Windy Plugin and open the plugin Regadata.
Enjoy the plugin and Stay Safe!!!! Especially if you are one of the Vendee Globe racer.

(this actually based on the example "boat tracker" plugin listed in the official windy-plugins repo, and the original data seems to be itself based on my the previous version of regadata I published 4 years ago : http://vg2016.regadata.org/en/doc/json :) )

I just have one question, how often should the tracker update? I'm still seeing a 'report date' of 0900 on 14 Nov 2020.
Although the positions seem up to date compared to https://www.vendeeglobe.org/en/tracking-map - Ranking on 14 Nov 2020 - 21h (UTC) - Next ranking: 04h (UTC)
Maybe just the time is incorrect?

I gave a try yesterday but it didn't work. And today it is successful.
It's nice to get the boat positions, on Windy (customized) wind map and the forecast weather for the next days too.

This is because of the date formatting in javascript, I'll try to improve that. But it is correct : 0900 = 21h "the britsh way" :)

Could it be a problem with your connection not being very stable? I've had similar issues and refreshing the page fixed the problem! -

Also other users are starting to post about this issue elsewhere in the forum too.

@kbsali Greaty plugin. Can we propagate the plugin, or should we rather keep quiet?
How about Vendee Globe name? I guess there are some copyright issues.

I have asked them on several occasions but never got an answer.
But to be honnest, I don't think they would complain : they use the plugin on their live videos now to present where the boats are! :)K. Saliou
