Premiun Account, Animation too Slow

I've just signed up to the Premium account - not so much for the extras, more to support a site I use quite regularly. However, now that the updates are /hour instead of /3 hours, when I animate the weather for the coming days it moves really slowly. Is there a way to speed it up? Or do I have to log out of my premium account to see it faster?

With Premium, you can see the forecast per hour but this is different as having a new update every hour, which is bot the case.
The weather forecast updates depend of the model you use. For instance as a Premium user you can get 4 updates per day with IFS. Each update can be split by 3h or 1h -
Hi Thanks for the reply. I think perhaps I didn't explain my issue so well. On the normal version, when I press the "play" button, it moves the weather forward in 3 (or maybe 4) hour chunks - so it plays fairly quickly. On the premium version, it moves forward in 1 hour chunks so takes a lot longer to see the progression of the weather. Does that make more sense?
If so, I'd like to know if there's a way to speed up the "play" animation in premium.

Yeah this is a shame. I'm going to have to log out of my premium account because I can't use it when the "play" function now operates so slowly. How is there not an option to speed up the "play" speed of the coming days? Can't ever recall a situation when the premium option was worse than the free one. Very disappointing.

Instead of pressing the ‘Play’ button, use the R & L arrow keys of your keyboard to change the weather by 1h step and thus to control the speed.

Thanks for this - this is a reasonable fix. Shame there isn't an option to accelerate the animation though as sometimes it's nice to see the week evolution quicker rather than slower. Thanks for your idea though. -

I think to remember there used to be an animation speed selector (turtle -> rabbit). Maybe this could be an option so we could choose the play speed ourselves?

I also paid to upgrade only to support the app.
The slow scrolling speed when you push play is very annoying. Swiping left and right to speed it up is not a fix because with a quicker, automatic and consistent scrolling speed you get a "feel" for how fast the changes are developing. You can't do this manually. This is a downgrade of the paid apps usefulness. I agree with a previous poster, put the turtle/hare switch back -

Hello, moving the animations with arrows is not precise and praticle to observe an evolving situation. Please put back this speed control :)

I too am a premimum member, thought it was me and my PC, Glad to see its not, but his is a old topic and still not fixed please fix it windy its only a problem to your PAYING customers -

I am disappointed also. Like others in this thread, I got a Premium account to support the app. I very frustrating to use Windy on a iPhone and gave the animation go more slowly than before. This should be fixed ASAP. Thanks to you other users for raising the issue in the first place. -
@pauljonessailor @sprockett Hello, thanks for the input. What is the use case for the faster animation? You can always move the timeline with arrows or simply drag it where you want it to be (mobile).

@Korina Just try the forecast of the free and premium and you will see how annoyingly slow the animation is for the premium. Can you make it behave as the free version or put in a option for speed. Yes, you can scroll right and left but it is far from optimal compared to even transition of time you get by just pressing a play button.

@Korina A use case is this app, at least around me and my world, is becoming more and more useful and popular. The ability to display Windy.com on an screen and allow it to run through animations while clicking and working on something else can be very valuable. This is why it would be beneficial to have the ability to have it animate through time faster (being able to choose the speed would be spectacular). Auto-refreshing with new available data would be beneficial as well.

Just upgraded to premium after using the free version for several years and was puzzled why i could not increse the ay speed. Was Googling to find the obvious solution I missed was and I'm disappointed to read that this a 'feature'. This really takes from the enjoyment using what I've always thought was a great app. Please confirm this will be addressed in a near future release.
