UI issues iphone 12 Pro Max
-
Howdy team,
Just some screen alignment issues top and bottom when in portrait mode on iPhone 12 Pro Max. Latest iOS (public) latest Windy.
Looking at local Airport METARs
Top:
Can’t go back using left arrow as it seems to overly the time hit box
Heart overlaps battery iconBottom:
Tapping the options activates the app switcher and overlies the text
Cheers!

I'll second this with a couple more screenshots. The margins at the top of the screen are definitely 'squished' on the iPhone 12 Pro since updating to Windy 27.3.1 on iOS 14.2.1.
-
@inajet Semms like we do not detect borders
-
@ivo seems to be a common issue on the iPhone 12, as I’ve seen this on other apps recently. Hopefully you can get a fix out soon!
-
@captdoc And iPhone 11 Pro Max?
-
Found & fixed. But it will be deployed in some next release.
-
All of the above and below issues I also noticed UI issues on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The most obvious one is that UI does not seem to fit on the screen. Eg using time slidebar for satellite or radar views is too low on the screen causing accidental app switching. Sooo annoying:) apart from that hope you fix it soon and good work !!!!!

@mario75-0 This is issue also on iPhone 11
-
@ivo great to hear it’s been found and fixed! Hoping this next release is soon(ish), as some of the buttons (i.e. back button) are very difficult to press right now.
-
@inajet Unfortunately release cycles for iOS are long. Apple have to approve everything and it takes time.
-
@ivo oh for sure! As long as the Windy team plans to submit the fix soon is all I am hoping.
-
@ivo great news! Thanks so much for your prompt response! (Apologies for the delay, working nights!)
-
@ivo just updated to 27.3.2, and was very disappointed to see that this issue is not yet fixed!
What version will have the fix for this UI issue?
-
@inajet It takes weeks to make new release and push it through all tests
-
@ivo sorry, I guess I misunderstood your previous reply that it had already been fixed and submitted to Apple, and we were just waiting for Apple to approve it.
Can we expect the fix in the next update? I don’t mean to be impatient, but this particular UI issue really affects the usability of the app...
-
@ivo also, do you have any iPhone 12’s on your team to test the fix? If not, do you have a beta program?
-
@inajet Hi, we will try to fix this in some of the next releases, as Ivo mentioned, it is a long process.
-
@korina thanks, Korina.
-
Thank you very much for fixing this issue - v28.0.3 looks great on the iPhone 12 Pro!!!!
Also, thank you for the new iOS 14 widget!
Keep up the great work... 👍

@inajet Happy to hear that
