<p dir="auto">ok, understood, I thought you meant liters / km². Sometimes meteorologists refer to the amount of rainfall as liters / m² which equates to millimeters hence my confusion.</p>

You are probably referring to lightning expressed as  lightning / km2 = l/km2.<br />
It has nothing to do with rain which is expressed in mm in Windy.</p>
