How to read Meteogram
-
@idefix37 But the cloud base today scattered at 2700 and Broken at 3700 at Lydd airport. There was no rain except a,drizzle at 13.00 UTC. Yet the Meteogram showed a dark band right at the bottom with 0.2 blue vertical line at 13.00 UTC. The 'band' was almost black from late morning until late afternoon

@raphipps1966
The Meteogram is providing a forecast, not an observation.
Providing a screenshot would help.
Have you tried several models ?
Then this topic should clarify your question

Hello, what is the color code for the temperature? Are the colors related to an average temperature for the chosen location?
-
@Thierry04 In terms for the color code for temps, the default one windy uses does not mean the average temp, but one scale used as a global average. We can change the temperature colors on the windy map. There's one scale I enjoy using and have used it for 5 years now. If you want to change your temperature colors, you could go on Windy, then press on the top right corner where it says "menu", then press settings, it's on the left of where it has 8 different things, then after that, scroll down to where it says "customize color scale", then after that, you should be able to change the scale to the desires you wish to have it on.

@Korina said in How to read Meteogram:
@galtsev Hi, we do not offer globe yet, so it is not possible to view it.
hello,could i wanna asked a question?in the meteogram,for example,does 9am means time from 6am to 9am or 9am to 12am?which one is the correct answer?Therefore, the precipitation at 9 am shows that 5mm is the total precipitation from 6 amto 9 am or the total precipitation from 9 amto 12 am?Or the precipitation of the hour at 9 am?
THANKS A LOT!
-
@布-欧
The 3hr precipitation shown at 9
is the accumulated preci. from 6 to 9. -
ok,thanks!
If it's clear at 9am, does it mean that it's clear from 6am to 9am ? be grateful to you!

Hi! Can somebody tell me what this '8 cm' means in the rainfall forecast? I know there's no chance of 80 mm of rainfall today :b

-
@Mhuala
8 cm of snow (equivalent to 8 mm rain).

@Korina
I was using Windy but had some questions. This article cleared up all my doubts at once and will be very useful for my future mountain climbing. Thank you.
