Reading Forecast Table Question

Hi! What does the red background behind certain hours of the day indicate? Might be related to snow fall? However, it does not seem correlate at all times. Thanks for the help in advance :)

These red areas indicate the days when your alert levels are reached.
You have probably set an alert for snow for this location, a new snow quantity during the last 3 days.
