I hope we can see vertical winds in troposphere layers by selecting A to B line on earth map and see a cross section of vertical winds from surface to upper layers.
Required Data have been Already available as "vertical velocity" in numerical forecast models.

You can create a cross section by using the desktop version only and the tool « distance and planification » with the weather picker. You can select a starting point A and then your final point B so your section. After, you can display the airgram and you will get an idea about the wind evolution in this cross-section, from the ground till 200hPa and from A to B.
You can customize the delta in time in order to reduce it. Basically, the tool was not designed to study cross-section but to create an itinerary to check the weather on it. I just realised that I could use it for cross-section as well
This will not give you the the vertical speed but will answer part of your question

It's a good way to get a cross section.
May I add that when this feature is not planned for a trip, it is better to untick Speed to avoid introducing a time lapse between A and B and thus to get the prediction at same time all along the panel.
Then by moving the time slider along the time line, you can change the date of the cross section prediction.

Thanks for the tip. Indeed, I was a bit annoyed by the time lapse so I increased the speed to limit it to 1h. I didn’t know I could get rid of it, which is definitely much better !
