Paragliding spots that have been deleted in Paragliding Earth still appear in Windy
-
@korina Any progress on this? The site in question is located in El Paso TX named "Lee's Lookout " . Thanks!
-
@stevecrye Hello, we will fix this in one of the future releases.
-
@korina Please, I'm begging, delete Lee's Lookout near El Paso Texas. The continued presence of this closed paragliding spot in Windy is causing us many problems. I'm confused as to why we have to wait for a new version of the app. It shows up in web browsers too, and there has been at least one new version of the Windy app since my original request.
Thanks,
Steve

@stevecrye Hello, we have removed the spot, but apparently we are still downloading data from another source, causing spot to reappear. We will investigate it.
-
so i need to check this
-
@korina So, two new releases have come out and it is still not fixed! I'm sick of waiting! The listing of a closed launch in El Paso TX is causing us problems with the RRRG ! Please we need this closed site purged from Windy!
-
@stevecrye Hello, we have already removed this spot, but it seems some other sources keep displaying it. We will investigate it further.
Nevertheless, this paragliding post is already marked as closed with clear information "not to fly".
-
@korina Thanks please keep working on it.

Hey All,
Hope you don't mind If I jump on this thread to request another site that has been removed from paraglidingearth also get removed from windy.com
The site is called. 'Pendarves Beach'. From the HTML on windy.com I can find the following attributes.
data-id="23278"
data-lat="-43.9539964848534"
data-lon="172.03799664974213"The site was added by myself but later removed from paraglidingearth.com by another member of our local club. We'd like the change to be reflected on windy.com
Is there any reason why removals don't propagate? Are they cached by windy.com? If so what is the cache timeout?

@simonmerrick Hello, thank you for the report. We will add it to the list for site removals.
