    TC Eloise is about to make landfall in Mozambique

      Topical cyclone Eloise will make landfall as a category 1 hurricane in Beira, Mozambique this evening or early Saturday, local time.

      Maximum winds are 120 km/h (65 kt). Storm is likely to bring hurricane-force winds, coastal flooding and heavy rainfall.

      Eloise has strengthen to a moderate tropical storm after moving over northwestern Madagascar. Storm should enter Mozambique Channel on Thursday.

      Tropical storm Eloise has weakened to an overland depression with maximum wind 64 km/h (35 kt) and slightly higher gusts.

      Strom is moving along Mahajanga Province and affecting the the northern parts of Madagascar. Heavy rains and strong winds will continue until tomorrow.

      Eloise is expected to strengthen again into a tropical cyclone before entering the Mozambique Channel and making landfall.

      Tropical cyclone Eloise has made a landfall in northeast coast of Madagascar with maximum winds of 83 km/h (45 kt), bringing rain and wind to the northern Madagascar.

      Cyclone Eloise has intensified to a severe tropical storm with maximum winds of 92 km/h (50 kt), gusts are up to hurricane force now.

      Eloise will make landfall within 5 to 6 hours in the coastal areas of Ambalabe and Mahasitrana. Condition are likely to deteriorate in the afternoon, residents should be on alert.

      The system can be a major threat for Mozambique in the upcoming days.

      Tropical cyclone Eloise is likely to intensify into severe tropical storm with maximum winds over 100 km/h. Strom is currently positioned off the north-eastern quadrant of Madagascar.

      Eloise is expected to move closer to the coast of Madagascar later tomorrow and make landfall. Cyclone will likely cause strong winds and torrential rains as well as flooding.

      Maximum sustainable winds at the moment are 83 km/h (45 kt).
