Why do you just repeat what is already said.

You are right. I was prepared to explain too the case of a customised set of colours, but found it would seem tricky.
Load default loads the standard settings of Windy and you loose your own settings.
A solution is to set the threshold with a different browser than the one you use currently, without logging in. But you can do it only with the Windy set of colours, not with yours. This is the reason why I made the example here above with standard colour set, not with mine.
Otherwise as you say, keep a copy of your code in Word or similar software. See [view code]. At the end, paste your own code to get back your colour scale without threshold and click [import].
(In any case when you make sophisticated colour settings, it’s better to save a copy of the code somewhere !)

As a conclusion, if you have 3 or 4 colour sets with threshold,

Paste their code in place of the current one.

Then restore the code of your usual settings without threshold in the same way.

You can do it with your usual browser, but never click Load default.

When you click on load default, I guess you go back to the default setting, which means the color setting defined by Windy. Now, if you have set up a customized set of colors, this is gone so you have to save first the data somewhere and then copy and paste,... Not super friendly 😛

You can do it (quite) easily.

Go to Settings, down to Customize color scale

Select the layer you want to modify.

Remove all lines above (or below) your threshold by clicking Remove line

For a better result you may remplace on threshold line the 3 digits between brackets by (100,100,100) to get a grey background. Click this line again to show this map:

Then click Loads defaults to get back to the default setting without threshold.

Of course it is not so easy as with a slider, but in case you need this type of map...

Do you change the color scale of the wind map every time want to check the jet stream ?

What I find very useful is is the possibility to threshold the values of the map, whatever the map is : wind, temperature, etc... Putting a threshold and eliminating values lower than the threshold can clarify a lot the data on a map.

You did it here by using a different set of colors for the wind map and then the jet stream becomes much better visible,... But this is no very practical to change the color scale.

Would be nice to get a slider to put a threshold

You just need to set the Altitude slider to 300hPa or 250hPa to visualize the jet-stream.
