Feedback/Suggestion for Windy
-
It's a long story I want to say about this app. First of all, I used to have a perfect weather service called Intellicast, and I've been using it for almost a decade, but until the beginning of January 2019, those fools at Weather Underground took everything away and their service became useless as I need the "Thunderstorm Potential" as well as lightning.
Then there is the "Storm Radar" app that really fits my needs for a few years until it became useless since Weather Underground/Weather Channel took it away. I've been painstakingly searching for a perfect weather app until now I found "Windy". That particular app really fits almost all my needs, such as a perfect Thunderstorm potential, as well as CAPE data. At long last, this app is exactly what I am looking for!
So what I want to suggest the app to add is "Storm Tracker". It's simply a dot with the arrow that shows the direction where the storm is going and how fast it's going. And inside, you'll find incredible data that shows the entirety of all the potential for Hail, CAPE, isotherm and stuff like that.
I would wish to see if there's a way to implement that in your Windy App (if that's not already there). I would definitely sign up for the premium if you include that.

Hello @mikey186, thank you for sharing your suggestion with us, we will consider it as a future feature.

@petra-pik
If you do implement this feature in the future, can you do a whole radar update for the United states because you're radar, unlike other radar apps, just shows precipitation and precipitation rate. Other radars on apps like the Weather Channel and My Radar show what type of precipitation and sometimes storm centers as stated above . You may be able to get this information at the link below. Also special weather statements and warnings for areas other then over water for the U.S may be a good idea too in future updates. Maybe another radar idea may be the implication of a 3D radar possibly for premium users -
@cswarm34 thank you for your feedback.
Adding warnings over the US is on our to-do list :) -
@cswarm34 Hello, thank you for suggestion. Precipitation types are already available in layer Precip.type.
