Why doesn't Windy have forecast for +000 hours (analysis)? It cannot be done for precipitation, but for other parameters?

@damir120505 Hello, in free version of Windy, forecast is displayed in 3hour steps. With Windy Premium you can also view data for 00:00, in case you're referring to this.

@korina, no. I didn't mean 00 am. The model is updated every 3 or 6 hours. After the update, the first available forecast is +003 hours (+001), but Windy does not have a +000 forecast (analysis).

@damir120505 The ECMWF model is updated every 12 hours (every 6 hours with Windy Premium). Each model has a different update times.

Are you talking about time shown in the time line or in Meteogram?

@idefix37, I'll show example on GFS. Last update - 00 UTC. First available forecast is for 01 UTC (+001). But I need chart for 00 UTC hour (+000 or Analysis).

I think damir talks about initial data for every run of the model.

@damir120505 The forecast data are valid until the next update time (or ref time). This is just how the GFS or other models work.

@korina, any model have analysis map. If model updated in 00 UTC it has forecast for +001 and analysis. But analysis ISN'T forecast of previous model run. For example, init time and valid time are same on this picture. Unfortunately, Windy has no analysis map.

@korina, I knew the information from the topic before.
Indeed, before starting to calculate weather forecasts for the future, the model analyzes the weather at 00 and 12 UTC and receives a "map" for this time. This time is called analysis or +000 hours. But the first available term in Windy is an hour or 3 after the analysis (+001 or +003 hour).

For ECMWF Analysis is not disseminated together with Forecasts.
                                https://www.ecmwf.int/en/forecasts/documentation-and-support/data-delivery/dissemination-schedule

May be Windy chose not to acquire the Analysis but only the Forecasts.

                                Same for GFS

Yes, @idefix37 is right, there is a delay between analysis and forecast, as described in the link proposed by @idefix37. This should be the case for other models.
Price to acquire data and analysis can explain that people go for the forecast
