Widget location
-
I am using the widget . Why every time the place is changed and not stay in current location . In setup the startup location is to use GPS.

Hello @kobykim1, have you allowed the application to use your device’s location? I would also recommend deleting and placing the widget back on screen.
Are you referring to widget for Android widget? If not, please let me know.There are bugs in the widget, we are aware of them, and we are working on it.

@petra-pik hello.. yes i do allow location data. A refresh clears it just fine, it's just that it will change back automatically to one random location (same every time) even when I don't leave the house. And yes, this is the widget for Android. When i notice the change i will try repositioning.

I have the same issue. When you hit refresh, the widget uses GPS and all is fine. A few mins later and the location changes to what seems to be the location IP address, ie the ISP. Also, if I use a VPN of a different country, the location will change to a city in that country (probably the IP location) after a few mins until I hit refresh. I have location on and turned off battery optimisation (Android).

@mkuenzle
Have you tried to set your location as favorite and then use this favorite as start-up location? -
@idefix37 thanks for your reply. Yes if I put my widget location to Home, it remains there. But I want to show the weather at my current location, which is not always Home.
Maybe to make my last post clearer, it is not just at startup that the wrong location shows up, it is randomly during the day, ie after a regular automatic widget update. As soon as I manually update it with the button on the widget, it goes to the right location.

@mkuenzle Thank you for report, we know about this issue and trying to solve it. If you have batter save mode on, it can affect determining the location.
