      HI There any chance you could add a boundary layer thickness - soaring height potential for each model
      For ICON this might be :
      HTOP_DC Height of top of dry convection above MSL (maybe minus elevation)
      in ECMWF this is
      BLH boundary layer height.
      in GFS this could be
      MIXHT mixed layer height

      None are perfect but from a soaring perspective each would give an indication of the area with the best soaring potential if other factors also line up.
