Route Planner Route Drag

Re: How to use a route planner
Dragging a route (as in Google Maps) would be very useful for both aviation planning and car/hiking planning. If I want to investigate the terrain on a proposed route Perhaps I just haven't learned how to add a point within the existing points on my plan.
It would also be very useful to be able to snap the route to a road or trail on the map. In other words, create a start and end point on a road or trail and have the route between follow the twists and turns of the road or trail.
Thanks

@zoombag
To add a new way point on the line between start and arrival points, just click the line and drag the new way point where you want. -
@idefix37 Now I see. Instead of holding and dragging, you click to create a waypoint on the line then when you hover over that new waypoint you can move it.
Thanks

@idefix37 how do I even find roote planning tools on Windy? Sailing from Florida to the Bahamas shortly and it would be very nice to use but I've looked everywhere for it in the app.

@elliesails
Hi, do you use the mobile app?
In this case, press the screen and move the map to place the crosshairs at your departure point.
In the grey top banner click on Distance & planning. Add the following waypoints on your route.I made a summary of the Route planner on mobile app.
