      Hi there. I am using this app for years now and I’ve noticed windy predictions are not as accurate as they used to be. In fact as a commercial helicopter pilot I can not trust predictions anymore. For instance today, the app indicated fog patches in my area when it was clear sky.
      Talking to some of my colleges, they agreed with me. Windy is not giving accurate weather anymore.
      Perhaps we all are using the wrong settings.
      Can you give me some advise about it, please?
      Thanks!

        Windy does not en did never provided weather forecasts; it just display on screen data provided by major actors who compute weather forecast models (NCEP/NOAA, ECMWF, etc.). About your particular area, just try to find which of the available forecast models is the best.

        ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

          @fedecandela
          Do you think the weather models like IFS from ECMWF or GFS from NCEP « are not giving accurate weather anymore » ?
          However these global models with a grid spacing (resolution) of respectively 9km and 22km are sometime not able to provide a high accuracy in some local conditions.
          About Fog, this layer is provided by ICON model from the German weather services. This is rather experimental. You better rely on Sounding forecast (right click on mouse or Skew T in plugin list on desktop), and of course, on METAR/TAF shown when selecting Airports.

          On the other hand, conditions during a flight can be provided by Route planner (right click on mouse):
