Lightining Map

Hello,
As an aviator, I like and use windy meteorology applications from time to time. I would like to suggest you to add a layer as a lightning map. As you know, blitzortung.org application shows real time lightning movements. I think the lightning layer you will create with the data you will receive from here will add an additional variety to windy.
Best regards.

Hello @semih-dedebas, we already have this kind of feature. See the 'Weather radar' layer. It shows lightning in real time.

Hello again. Thank you very much for your feedback. Just I have relaised on your "weather radar" layer. I may have one more suggestion on this image. If the lightning strikes are colored according to the timeline, it can give a better clue about the direction of movement and lightning intensity along with the radar image. For example, the lightning strikes that flash in every 10 or 15 minutes in the last 1 or two hours can be shown with different color tones. Or the radar image timeline may be use for lightining strike colouring.
Best regards.

What you propose is used in static maps to show the evolution of lightning strikes and their displacement. On Windy the Radar layer, which shows the lightning, is dynamic. So you see the movement of lightning and if you choose a time frame of 6 hours, you will see the movement of the thunderstorm area.
In addition the location of the old impacts are shown by a colored area from yellow to deep brown on the map.
