Start Zoom Level

Is there a way to set the zoom at startup? I'm really only interested in the area I live in and don't want to have to zoom in every time.

@therabbits I agree. This is annoying. It would be good to have a preset zoom level at least for every favorite location.

A priori this requirement was recently aknowledged and should be implemented in next releases, see this discussion.

The linked post does not mean that this requirement should be implemented in next release, just that it could be discussed in development planning.

We’ve been asking for custom startup zoom for YEARS now. Feedback from Paying members like myself should make a difference. LETS GO WINDY! Dont hold back from being the BEST!

@rustycoon Hello, we are aware of this feedback and it is planned to implement the adjustable default zoom level. However, I can't promise any specific date at the moment.

@Suty you're aware of the feedback? Doesn't seem like it since there are posts going back getting close to a decade about it and nothing has been done. And I mean genuinely nothing. Why are the devs pruposefully ignoring this feedback? When I open the app and living in southeast Florida I don't care what's happening from the Panama Canal all the way to Maine, do why does the app not allow me to change that? It makes no sense to do it this way and you people have been asked for well over 5 years now to change it. If this is what this app is going to continue to be then I'm going to have to ask for my money back for the purchase of the premium features because it's not a premium experience.

@WindyFlorida0 Please check the latest desktop app in version 46.1, where the default zoom level is already offered. Apps will be released with this version in a week.
