I wonder if it is possible to make animations smoother? Instead of updating every ~.5 seconds for each 3h time frame, would it be possible to insert more frames in between (perhaps, through a linear interpolation) so that the animation showed up as a very smooth video with many frames per second?

I believe that would positively impact user experience, and potentially increase user engagement and ultimately donation to the app.

All the best!

This is only true mathematically speaking, nothing to do with natural weather evolution; such an interpolation cannot "create a new forecast".

Those are not "wrong" interpolated values, they could create a new forecast that involves GFS datapoints (for example) to produce a nice and smooth animation.

Perhaps an idea they could implement in the premium version!

Such an artificial interpolation would get of course a more "beautiful" animation on screen, but I don't think Windy would assume the wrong interpolated values...
