hi its me again.
what do you think to use the free maps from openflightmaps.org for the flightplanning mode, windy offers?

this format (EPSG3857 Tiles) also supports transparent layer..
i guess that the aviation community would really appreciate this.

I just wanted to ask about the status and about the outcome of your consideration?

As mentioned these maps are completely free. see. openflightmaps.org.
I am sure this could really enhance and support the already built in VFR flight planning tools.
