Alerts with AND operator only
-
I've been a long-time user and huge fan of this app. I have almost no bad things to say about Windy, as it has served me well (within the limits of its capabilities) for quite a few years. One of the only down sides to this app is that the alerts only function with AND operators. Including alerts with the OR operator would be really outstanding. Here is a real-world example of how this would be extremely helpful:
As a rope access wind turbine technician, I can't work in certain weather conditions like high winds or rain. It's also nice to know if there are going to be extreme temperatures that we have to contend with. It would be beneficial to be able to set an individual alert for each of those conditions. Is it going to rain OR be super windy? With the way that Windy's alerts are currently setup, I can't get this information in a notification on my phone (thanks for adding push notifications!!)
It's particularly frustrating because I can't even place a second/third alert near the first one to simply create multiple alerts for the same location, because it just edits the first alert when you set another one within some relative distance.
For now, the push notifications will only help to find out if a single condition will manifest on any given day. There may be some very particular circumstances where you would want to know if it's going to be 13m/s+ wind AND raining AND over 100 degrees. But I would venture a guess that those circumstances come few and far between. However, knowing that it is going to rain tomorrow then be below freezing the next day would be much more beneficial to the everyday user.
Just the thoughts of a long-time fan and loyal user hoping to spur some kind of positive effect on an already excellent app.
Keep up the hard work!!

Having the possibility to set OR operators would be nice, but there is a way to cope with your needs:https://community.windy.com/topic/15140/alerts?_=1618812250237

@idefix37 That's a great workaround. I guess what I'm getting at is that having this flexibility as a feature would make the app more intrinsically valuable and functional. Looks like I'll have to give the multiple alerts thing another go for now. Also, being able to combine the alerts for a single location would be great because it wouldn't cause clutter in the alerts panel. As it stands, I have alerts set for about 30+ wind farms across the country. If I set three alerts for each of them I would go from thirty alerts to ninety.
