Different symbol for favorites?
-
I would like to categorize my favorites. Is there any way to apply different symbols on the map for some favorites (aside from the heart)?
Also, is there a limit on how close two favorites can be? In some cases, if I search some coordinates and they are too close to an existing favorite, it says "remove from favorites" when I hover over the heart, indicating it considers it to be the same location.

@forecasthh Hello, there is not other symbol than the heart at the moment. Secondly there is also no distance limit for the favorites.

@korina Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify with respect to the distance limits: As an arbitrary example, if I create a favorite at coordinates: (17.83, 1.90) and then search the location (1.835,1.905) and try to click the heart symbol to add favorite, it says "Remove from Favorites," not allowing me to add a second favorite so close to the first one. Increasing the distance, if I search (17.84, 1.91), I am able to mark this as a separate favorite. Hence, I assumed there is some sort of distance limit for a location to be considered separate.

You are talking about a hundredth of a degree which is about 1.1km. The resolution of the global models, ECMWF model and GFS, is 9km and 22 km respectively. Limited area models like ICON-EU and NAM offer about 5km resolution. There is only AROME which has an actual resolution of 1.3km.
So I wonder why you want 2 different favorites within 1km of each other while weather models show only one grid point on the same distance.
I have verified that beyond 1km it is possible to save 2 favorites (at 47° latitude, but this may vary depending on the latitude). Try zooming in the map to max., to place favorites clicking the map.
