I use the forecast for temperature but at night I always need to manually adjust the low temperature I will see from the forecasted one. Last night for example, most of the forecast systems had the low at 43 to 45F. but it got to 33F ... thus off by a minimum of 10F. I have a weather station and it pretty much is in line with local professional places that track weather.

So it would be nice to allow another model (your own) to view which is your locally adjusted model to one of the available models.

I don’t think that Windy would develop their own algorithms to correct the bias of weather models.
But it would be interesting that you give us the precise location where you observe these temperature discrepancies

In every country, there are what we call cold spots so spots which are always lower in temperature than what model forecasts even regional model so model with a small grid aroun 2km. I know this issue very well because I am part of group with professional weather forecasters (BCMB) following those cold spots in Belgium. Our network of professional weather stations identified a lot of those spots and even compared to model like Arome, those spots can be 6-8°C below the minima forecasted by Arome and other models. This is linked to the orography of the place/spot leading to radiatives nights where temperatures go down much faster than models can predict. A deep understanding of the region is key to improve the forecasts so professional weather forecasters are still needed !!!
