Hello, I've been using Windy for several months now, particularly for general aviation. I love it!

I have spotted an error in the UK. On the map the airport EGSY is located north-east of Sheffield (England) and is called 'Sheffield City Heliport'. It is providing an up-to-date METAR. However, Sheffield City Heliport closed several years ago! The ICAO code EGSY is now used for MOD St Athan in southern Wales. So, on the Windy map the METAR for MOD St Athan is incorrectly being showed as Sheffield City Heliport in the location of the old airport near Sheffield.

It's a fairly minor error but I wondered if it could be corrected, as it giving incorrect weather conditions over Sheffield?

      Thank you,

      Dominic

@dmr100 Hello, we gather information from ourairports.com, the issue needs to be corrected first there.

25th October 2024: To be fair it is shown correctly on that site. However this problem still persists on this Windy site and anyone using this application will continue to gain incorrect information. So some years have passed and this known error persists.
