The K letter is a minor glitch and the detailed type widget will be probably back soon. Just be patient.

Apparently the temperatures in this widget are displayed in °F. The K letter is an error.
What is the OS of your phone? Android or iOS?
Here the widget with temperature unit in °F without a K letter (iPad 14.4.2)

Would prefer F. also why do all my other apps allow both old and new style widgets. Hardly a personal phone if you dictate how it looks.
