AROME DATA FOR INDIAN OCEAN

hello Windy team,
first of all I would like to congratulate you for your fantastic app, I am using everyday as a paraglide addict :-)
your app is so convenient and useful, I wonder how we did before!

I am living in la Réunion (french territory in the indian Ocean). As part of France the detailed forecast model "AROME" is available for this part of earth.

Do you think it would be possible to add the model on that region? I know the model is published as "opendata" by météo france.
This would be for us living in la réunion, the cherry on the cake :-)

If I can help in anyway to make this happen, I will! Please let me know, I work in IT...
I can get in touch with people working in météo France local agency if necessary

In fact the GRIB files for ‘’AROME overseas’’ seem to include 4 areas with a 2.5 km resolution.

BTW in English ‘’La cerise sur le gâteau’’ is ‘’The icing on the cake’’. It’s not the same pastry :-)

indeed AROME is available for all french overseas territories. I have heard they are working on a even more accurate version 1.3km.
would be so great to have it on windy!!!! ;-)
