I like it a lot! The 3D version show how busy the weather is around the globe. Windy.com is the best site for weather. Hands down! Nothing comes closer. Keep up the great work!

Konečně. Od vypnutí minulé 3D verze o to prosím opakovaně. Dokonce jsem kvůli tomu začal platit PREMIUM. Tak prosím, nechte nám to aktivní.

Where do you try to see the 3D? It is only available on website, not in the mobile app. But in future it will be in the app too. -
Is there any way to make 3D mode as default?

I'd like to be able to zoom out further while using 3D mode. Allowing 3D to be set as default sounds good if that's not already available.

It is really cool, a lot of work indeed. Better and easier to understand the way the weather behaves since there is boundaries effect anymore.

What an amazing tool! It´s so clear to see how winds and clouds are related all over the world. That´s a revolution in the way we "see" meteorological phenomena. Thank you soo much for help me improve my flight safety and awareness! I couldn't found any error in this beta version.

@vicb I agree that on the Mac, the 3D mode with particle animation is too slow (basically unusable). This is with a 2 year old iMac running the latest macOS. If particles are turned off, everything is fine. This is using the Safari browser. Firefox is slightly better but still frustratingly slow..

With the same iMac and same OS, particle animation works fine for me. Both with Safari or Chrome. But there is sometime a glitch when using the play button: the weather map is stuck. That does not happen when clicking on the time line.

Excellent. I don't mind the zoom restrictions for now. I find 3D is most informative viewing wide scale phenomena, e.g. polar centered view of 500 hPa with geopotential height graphics. A great visualization of Rossby waves.

Hi, you're right, the 3D mode is really useful on a synoptic scale rather than at higher zoom levels.
I’m dreaming of a new layer of geopotential heights with colour shading and not just as isolines. This really would help to show an overview of the general circulation at extratropical latitudes.
