include mag/geo direction of webcams
-
I miss an important piece of information: the magnetic or geographic direction that webcams are facing; I want to search for webcams facing North, eg to look out for NLC; or at least be able to easily discover the looking direction.
BTW - what it the meaning of the green/yellow color of the webcam symbols?
thx!

@axd Hello, thank you for suggestion. We will think about that.
Green color means that the webcams has been update a few minutes ago. Yellow indicates update several minutes ago. -
There is no automatic way to do that being that webcams typically don't have that ability. It would be up to the individual webcam provider to add that info, as I have done here: https://www.windy.com/-Webcams/United-States/Texas/Austin/webcams/1593017214?radar,30.182,-98.683,9
Maybe Windy could add that as a required or optional field when submitting webcams. I agree that adding cardinal direction adds pertinent information to the end user but apparently many providers are just posting their home webcam or are posting highway webcams.Scott
from Austin (but you can see that in my webcam image!) -
@piconut
Or - even beter- the way FAA provides aviation weather cameras!

You are right, this is the best and the direction of the cam is useful. But looking to the high number of wrong webcam location, I doubt that people adding webcams in Windy be able to specify in addition their direction / azimuth. -
@idefix37 @axd @Gkikas-LGPZ @piconut Hi, thank you for suggesting this, we will consider displaying this information.
