Lightning alerts
-
I work as a wind technician and this app is one of my favorites and I use it almost exclusively for weather but the only thing it’s lacking in order to be the only app I need is the ability to monitor lightning strikes. Is this a feature that could be integrated in the future? A map and the ability to be notified at 30, 60 and 90 miles would be invaluable for my field and I also imagine for many other industries.

@vestas Thank you for suggestion, there is currently no dedicated layer for monitoring lightning strikes, but we will think about that.
-
@Korina you should consider this seriously since it is a very common need for many potential users (many who have to use other apps for this reason). Anybody operating on the water for example needs this function. Sports facilities, large public events, and many more professional and recreational users. It's a first order safety need and would be very useful.
I note that you currently have an alert, but there is no option to set parameters for it such as distance. -
@Hillel-Hammer
In live alert the storm alert is based on lightning in the vicinity.
And in addition lightning is shown on Radar and on Satellite.

@idefix37 right, but there are no parameters. E.g., most users will want a certain radius of other location criteria.
Also, if you want ONLY lightning, that is not an option.

@Hillel-Hammer
Storms alerts are only based on lightning.
The lightning strike distance for triggering these alerts cannot be configured.
