The place in the red box (1) has wrong name in Greek map labels, is not Promahonas but Stavros (Σταυρός).
Promahonas is located to the yellow box (2).
If i change the language to English labels works fine.
Maybe in this place the Greek label is missing.wrong name place.png

Please see the following posts about how the map data for Windy is sourced and displayed from www.openstreetmap.org:

        https://community.windy.com/topic/4649/how-to-correct-errors-in-the-base-maps

        https://community.windy.com/topic/5564/disputed-territories-on-windy

Please also note: For every language, a different place name label can be displayed, so please choose your correct language and data display.

Further discussion of place name and language issues or disputes should be directed to the OpenStreetMap Forum here: https://forum.openstreetmap.org/index.php > scroll down & select > users: (the relevant country for your dispute and/or question)

In the case of a political dispute please leave such topics out of the Windy forum and instead focus on the discussion of weather.

Changes made in Open Street Maps do not occur instantly in Windy and will instead be updated periodically in the future.

Thank you for your understanding :)

@jmh2002 it's not political dispute but is wrong name to the Greek label. I have already check it in osm maps and is correct and i am using osm for a long time and as i remember it was always correct.
If you want to see the bug open windy from PC browser (firefox and chrome) go to settings change the language of user interface to Greek (ελληνικα) go to coordinates 40.6606,23.6954 and .then you can see that every place in this area is named in Greek language except Promahonas. That one has to change to Stavros (Σταυρός). The same problem exist in windy app for android.
If you thing that is political dispute as you are to Greek user interface in these coordinates from settings press to see the English map labels and you can see that label Promahonas changes to Stavros.
Personally i'don't have any problem because i know where exactly is each of these places ;-).

@a-chris Hello, thank you for feedback, if the location is correct in OSM, then we will implement it in the next OSM update.

@korina Hello, you are welcome, it's not a major problem and i like a lot both apps (windy and windy maps).
I have tried to find whats wrong with osm vector layer but i do not have enough experience to osm platform and not enough time to search about it right now.
In case of someone with experience in osm platform see the post i'm uploading print screen from osm point that i think is cause the problem.

Please note that my original reply referred in particular to the below bolded items regarding how to solve this issue. Because the data is not controlled by Windy and instead comes from OSM.

Please also note that my reply is a standard template that covers all possibilities - because being an international site with multilingual users we receive these 'wrong name' requests every week, and sometimes every day.

I'm pleased that you may have indeed found the problem, but that is why I referred you to OSM in the first place...

Please open a support request on the OSM forum for further assistance with their platform.

Thank you for your understanding :)
