Pinning a location not working

When using Windy on my iphone (just updated to latest version this morning) after zooming in to my region - New England. When i tap the screen to show me the details for a specific location, Windy randomly selects a city 40 or 50 miles away. As an example, if I were to tap Martha's Vineyard, I will see a pin over the mainland, sometimes in Halifax, sometimes further away, like Boston. I don't recall having this issue last year. Is there a setting or something which needs changing?

On the phone app, when you tap the screen for a location, the weather picker is shown at a fixed position (in the upper quarter of the screen) and you need to shift your chosen location under the picker. Otherwise you open the meteogram at the fixed location of the picker. -
