Removing entries from "Search location..." dropdown

A friend of mine was in a one-off location, so I searched for it, and there doesn't appear to be a way to make the search location disappear from my "Search location..." menu.
Am I missing something simple?

@jeffm46 Hello, your search entries cannot be removed, but they will get overwritten by new ones after some time.

@korina There needs to be a way to delete searches as I don't search enough to over write. Have the wrong city or county in the search list without having a way to delete it isn't good. Give us a delete button. Thank You.

@crowman Hello, the system is same as in google search, you cannot erase your previous searches from the engine.
