Remember my display preferences?

Re: Remember my display preference
The app is incredibly advanced with so many impressive options. BUT these complex sets of options don’t appear to come with any ability to remember your settings.
It’s really frustrating that every time I open the app it’s completely forgotten all my settings and I have to start all over again to create the settings and layers I like to see.
Surely there must be a way to overcome this??
Thanks

@hiley
What type of settings are you talking about ? Some can be changed and fixed for your next visit like the colors of the map but some not like the weather model -
It’s simple enough: I spend ages setting up the app, with my custom cloud layer and international temperature layer, with the hour by hour daily forecast setting at the bottom.
Then I close the app and return, and everything has been wiped and it’s gone back to the standard settings, requiring me to start all over again!!!
This is BEYOND infuriating and I can see others have expressed similar frustrations going a long way back, with no response from the developers.
Why on earth would the developers force to me only see the view THEY want me to see, when there are so many incredible options in this app?
I now regret my subscription costs and have gone back to Carrot because I don’t want to go through this frustrating series of time consuming steps to see what I want to see every time I hope the app!
Such a shame and I can not understand why the designers of this brilliant app would leave out something as basic as user display preferences, and allow the app to honour them each time it’s opened.
If I’m missing something please tell me as I’m clearly not alone in my frustrations!
Many thanks

@hiley Hello, we are sorry that you feel this way.
The available options for save are shown in Settings, you can for example save your default layer or position. We plan to add more options in the future.

You don't spend ages setting up the app, you just select layers and tables to see what you need.
Could you tell us an example of a mobile app in which all pages and details are automatically saved for the next time you use the app? Personally I dont' know one. -
I don't know for mobile apps. But on web applications proud of the name, each user session automatically saves main, pertinent user preferences for next user sessions.
This is already done on windy.com for several settings (measure units, palettes, etc.).
But obviously more and more users (mainly Premium), would like much more preferences to be saved, as far as this is technically doable.
There are already many threads here where users ask to be able to retrieve same map coverage, zoom level, data layers, etc.
