iOS Widget will not display 12h format

I have set my time format to 12 hour on the Windy iOS app. It shows properly in the main app, but the iOS widget refuses to change from 24 hour to 12 hour. This is true on both my iPhone and iPad. I've logged out/back in, reinstalled app, etc., but nothing helps. I'm running latest iOS and Windy version. I can change other items such as from Farenheit to Celcius and back and it will update almost immediately in the widget. Is this a bug, or am I missing some other setting? The widget itself doesn't seem to have its own settings as some do. Any help is appreciated.

@wdsims3 Hello, widget only shows the 24h format, settings in the iOS app does not affect it. But thank you for suggestion, something to consider for future releases.
