Need help implement rails/react WindyAPI.

Hi all, I am trying to follow the tutorial to use the WindyAPI with a rails backend and React frontend. Having some trouble. Is the API working? If so, can anyone recommend a tutorial. I am confused on the "hello world" examples as I know it is not a good practice to place one's API key on the frontend. Please help. Thanks.
