Badly displayed satellite image to the left of the Canary Islands
-
As you can see in the screenshots below, the satellite image to the left of the Canary Islands is badly rendered by the Windy app, especially in the morning hours.
Its display to the left of Gran Canaria is almost unusable, it's almost completely a white-out. Time of day is 9:45 in this example.
Compare the rendering of the same image at the same morning time between Windy app (first screenshot linked below) and Meteoblue app (second screenshot). Clearly, Meteoblue displays it correctly, Windy does not.
(Windy app's satellite image for Canary Islands. Notice the vertical line in the middle, separating the left tile from the right tile.)
(Meteoblue app's satellite image for Canary Islands)
Windy's satellite image data source apparently divides the satellite image of the world into two tiles, with the vertical line between the two tiles running through this region. The left tile is almost unusable in the morning, almost everything is rendered in white, both clouds and ocean. The right tile displays correctly though.

Note: I re-posted this bug because editing my former post was not allowed any more (due to a time-out).

@paulvc Hello, thank you for the posted images to clarify the suggestion. We currently render the transition between images this way, but we may change the approach in the future.

@korina Thanks for your quick response. I hope you change your rendering indeed, because it is unusable in certain regions, especially in the mornings. Meteoblue's rendering style works better, IMHO.
