I've been noticing this issue a few times now.

Snow is forecasted to happen at this location but on the Basic view the amount on snow (cm in depth) isn't showing.

Only when I switch to Meteogram view do I then see the depth of snow forecasted.

Thank you again Windy Team!!

Just a hunch;

Was looking and found that 4.7cm can accumulate in 1hr and the forecast will show 4.7mm of rainfall at 3c. From the sounding, it only turns warm in the last 1000ft or so, so my guess is:

ECMWF (or other) will predict snow falling but as it is a few degrees over freezing it will have the snow touching the ground but due to it being warmer than 0, it will melt so it shows that same amount as rainfall

What do you think?

I mention this issue because we need the pointer to inform us about the amount of snow over a specific time period.

The detail panel does not display the amount or timing of the snow event.

From my understanding, the map picker/pointer shows the total over a particular time period but when I open the detail panel the 'cm' snow forecast doesn't correspond with the picker.

Might be wrong on this one, but is it just that snow can not lay above 0c (or it will melt) hence making that amount of rain

Since you post frequently on the forum, could you please crop your screenshots, as it is almost impossible to verify the numbers you want to discuss. Your older posts in this thread are OK but not the latest ones. We don't need to see your entire screen and the weather picker doesn't need to be in the center of your large screen. You should pan the map and crop it.

On the contrary it seems to me that there is no issue: 50% of snow with 50% of rain water make at the end only water, and no snow cover.
