@idefix37 I was thinking the same thing and was hoping you would ask. In addition, yesterday I received my first two alerts at the same time for different locations just hours after your last post. As a test, I had changed my alert from a single wind criteria which had been in place for weeks and should have been triggered multiple times to a temperature criteria--which triggered within 24 hours. So, maybe it is an issue with particular triggers? However, the two email alerts (no text alerts were received even though it is turned on) were ambiguous and inconsistent (one location was correct but not the other and it should have/should be triggering every day which it isn't). Finally, the displayed criteria data in the emails couldn't be matched with the displayed data on the actual mobile or desktop app for the same time. In total, these alerts are unreliable, innacurate, and since they only monitor a single condition, not very useful for me.

Hi, For me Alerts are reliable and very accurate. I have several favorite locations with alert for wind or for snow. Both criteria work very well. I don’t use the e-mail but only the mobile notifications.
I have not understood what you mean with ‘no text alerts were received even though it is turned on’. If you mean ‘mobile notifications’ which are turn on on your screenshot but they are displayed in light grey. Did you enable it on your mobile?
I’ve done a test at the location you have shown (if I placed it correctly) and set wind alert at 20kt and over, and saved it. Some minutes later, I have got a mobile notification. The basic meteogram shows 2 bells when wind is forecast at level alert.

Yes, sorry I meant mobile alerts. Yes, they are set to be active on my mobile devices and the one day that I received two emails for two different locations the mobile alerts were not sent and/or received. I'll set up some alerts on the other locations I have saved (with different criteria) and see what happens.

@idefix37 Hello. I wanted to thank you again for your help and tell you that most of the alerts are working now but still not reliable or accurate. Here are a couple of examples. 1) Today I received an email alert for a location (screen shots added) but I turned off email notifications days ago (left mobile on only) and have saved it several times. It just doesn't want to update with the new settings. 2) The email alert shows one set of data (not even criteria for an alert) which is different than the actual weather prediction data displayed on Windy (screenshots taken at time of arrival of alert). Per the email, it should not have sent an alert in the first place (minimum wind speed alert set at 25 kn) but since it did you would think that it would show the correct data which does actually justify an alert. This latter example happens with most of the alerts that I receive. In fact, out of a dozen or so, only one email alert showed the same data shown on Windy. Essentially, the alert system is sloppy. I don't know why or how it does this but what ever the reason it would be nice if it was corrected--or maybe you have an explanation?
            Take care.

The first screen shot is the email alert, the second is Windy.

As I said previously, I do not use the email alert, only the phone notifications. So I can not confirm whether or not there is an issue with this alert mean. And I have no explanation for what you experienced with email alerts.
Alerts on Windy are based on ECMWF predictions. If you select another model, you are more likely to get deviations.

@falmari Hello, we need more details, such as what model does the screenshot shows.
Also the email alert was send based on the forecast that was active at a given time, the notification in the app may use already updated forecast.

@korina Hello, I can’t tell you what model was used to generate the alert obviously but the second screen shot (Windy web app) was showing the ECMWF model. The screen shot was taken immediately (within a minute or so) after receiving the alert which is why I mentioned it, as I was aware of a delay being a possible cause of the discrepancy.

@korina This was already shown in the screen shot above. Do you have an email address that I can forward the entire email alert too?

@falmari Please post the exact position the alert was created for.

@korina Hello Korina, as previously stated, my experience is not related to one specific location. I have experienced what I am describing with all my alerts. I currently monitor 11 locations throughout the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean, and North America. The result is the same. The actual lat/long of all of my locations is in water, on the coast outside a major/minor city, or close to an island archipelago.

For one location have you managed to open this settings table which allows you to define the alert parameters?
