      I suppose the PM2 and dust layers can be used as proxies for smoke, but if there’s anything else/better…

      It would certainly help for astrophotography planning.

        I guess that data layers like clouds coverage, humidity, winds, fog, etc. would be much more pertinent for astrophotography than smoke (which couldn't be really computed by weather forecast models)
