I'm working as team leader of a wildfire analyst group in the fire department of Bouches du Rhône.
We use windy weather forecast every week to help us building our wild fire analyst forecast bulletin.
One parameter that is important for us is the humidity level during the day.
Some humidity levels are significant for our use during the day : 30%, 20% 10% because it represents one part of the criticity of the risks and the firespread.
For now, the color scale used in windy presentation of humidity isn't enough precise under 30% for our use.
Would it be possible to enlarge the color scale to allow us to make the difference between 30%, 20% and 10% ?
Thank you for your understanding
Best regards

I have just imported the new scale, we're going to test it for the coming weeks.

We are many users in my fire departement to use your website
It helps us to define the wildfire risk level and make decisions during all the wildfire season

Thank your for your work

Please find the code to modify the RH color scale.
You must be logged in to apply these settings in your Windy cloud. (Then these settings will be applied to all your devices including mobiles).
Go to Settings / Réglages
Choose Customize color scale / Personaliser l’échelle de couleur
Select overlay: Humidity
At bottom of page click on Import/Export color to open a window pop up
Delete the text code in this window
Select and copy all lines of code here below and paste them in the window
Then press Import Gradient
Press Save created color

Hello, thank you for your answer and your tips.
I confirm you that I'm interested in your proposal to import the code

Please let me know how

I suggest this customised color scale with more details in the low RH% levels. Example Monday 16:00 ICON 7km:

This scale shows discrete color values (non continuous), with no smoothing but only a small mixing transition.
Then you can easily remember the corresponding steps below 50% RH and the extension of the concerned areas.

At the moment there is an issue in Windy to modify directly the color scale. So the easier way is the import the code itself. If you want it, let me know

Salut Xavier,

The first step of the colour scale is 30%. But you can modify it and set new steps between 0% and 30%. It is possible to customise the colors and the steps in Settings.
