      I just noticed that the wind particle animation when viewing the Aerosol layer looks different than on other layers. However, if I go to the Wind layer and adjust the height to be 500 hPa, then the particle animation closely matches that of the Aerosol layer.

      Is this a bug or does the Aerosol layer purposely display the wind at a higher level?

        @btschumy
        That is not a bug because the aerosol particles amount is measured by the reduction of light transmission in the total thickness of the atmosphere. So it is quite consistent to consider the wind animation at mid height (500 hPa) rather than at ground level.

          @idefix37 Thanks for the response. It is not a problem for me but I just thought I'd check to make sure this was intended.
